Join our land management team in restoration activities along the Milwaukee River! Volunteers meet and work alongside other individuals passionate about the natural world and preserving its integrity.

1st and 2nd Saturdays February-November: 9am-12pm
*Please attend a required Volunteer Orientation Session prior to starting volunteer hours! Orientation sessions will be offered every 2nd Wednesday Feb. to Nov. at 5pm located at our office.

RRF will provide the necessary tools, supplies and work gloves. Activities could include, but are not limited to: removing invasive species, establishing natives, watering, trail maintenance, processing seed, controlling erosion, and various other habitat restoration activities.
Where to Meet: Each volunteer day begins at our office located at 2134 N. Riverboat Rd., Milwaukee 53212. Our office is a renovated single-story home complete with a green roof and solar panels! Debriefing takes place inside – come on in and make yourself at home.
Clothing: Please dress appropriately for the weather. The majority of our volunteer activities will be held outside. Wear close-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Volunteer Incentive: FREE use of kayaks and canoes! For every 10 hours logged in a year, volunteers qualify for 3 opportunities to use our paddling equipment and boats. Offer is limited to the number of boats and staff members available. Volunteers must provide staff 48 hours notice to utilize boat incentive.
